Bethel

Bethel

2001 AQHA bay mare, AMR Jets Over Bethel.

Bethel is out of our nice broodmare Bailey and Ali’s old stud Cricket. Bethel has been striking since day one. She seemed to dance on her spindly new legs as a newborn. She tried to work the cattle in the pasture with her when she was young and showed tremendous athletic energy. Ali fell in love with her and noticed right away that she has the exact same star as her aunt Shiloh who was Ali’s special and beloved horse before she died. Bethel has never disappointed in any way. She grew and developed into a beautiful mare. A vandal cut her pastern very deeply just about the time we planned to train her to ride so instead of round penning and saddling, we were flushing her wound and bandaging. Fortunately her wound did eventually heal and she is scarred but sound so we were ready to start riding her again when we discovered she was pregnant. Unfortunately her very athletic half brother found a way to breed her through a six foot high pipe fence while we had her up in a pen for doctoring her foot. We decided not to terminate the pregnancy as we did not want to damage her future potential as a broodmare. The next year she delivered a beautiful black colt that we named Rail and sold to some really nice people in Boerne, Texas. We did not have time to make her the rope horse that we planned on creating out of her so we decided to put her in our broodmare band. She had a great black colt named Dodge with Bear so we bred her to him again. Her dam is one of our strongest producers and we believe Bethel is following in her footsteps. We expect her foals will be really athletic with a lot of speed and should always be able to take their owners to the pay window in competition. They are bred to have a lot of cow sense and common sense and will be a pleasure to handle and to look at, with great conformation and color. She has a strong pedigree and is passing on all the good potential she has shown to her babies. We don’t want to sell her but all of her foals will be for sale. Dodge has made a top notch ranch horse and Chica is in reining training. Check out her current colts and stay tuned here for her future foals. Bethel is not for sale at this time. We plan to breed her to Reno for a 2016 foal.
