Dogs
At Morning Ranch we have some four legged helpers that have become much more than dogs, they are part of our family. We love our dogs very much. We treat our dogs like family members. They ride with us where ever we take the truck and we have lots of daily contact with them. We had our first litter in 2007 and all the puppies found wonderful homes. We are not and never will be a puppy mill. We don't have puppies often but if you can provide an awesome home for a great dog then check us out here periodically to see when we have a litter or email us and let us know you are interested. We will contact you when we do have puppies available. Check out our dogs below. We do have puppies available right now so let us know soon if you have interest in one because they usually go quickly!
Dixie and Wyatt's first litter.
Born July 13th, 2010

This is an awesome litter of cow dogs. They will love working cattle for you or being your family pet. They are all really sweet and friendly like their parents and it won't be long before you see them want to start working right beside you or keeping you company as your best four legged friend. Please contact us if you want one. We can ship them anywhere or meet you somewhere to deliver them. If you are not familiar with Hanging Tree Cow Dogs or Australian Shepherds and need to know more about their temperaments and capabilities then please feel free to contact us with any questions. If you know the breeds then you know what great dogs these will be!

"Wyatt"
AMR Wyatt Earp, CKC
Roth's Wyatt Earp, NSDR
Black Tri-Colored Australian Shepherd
Wyatt is a great dog! We have been in love with him since we brought him home. Ali met his breeder at a horse show in San Angelo, TX. They were walking a toy Aussie and Ali asked if they minded if she pet the puppy. They struck up a conversation and it ended up with Ali buying one of their standard Aussie pups for Mike's up coming birthday. What she did not know at the time was that they were world class halter horse trainers. We met them at Terry Bradshaw's ranch in Keller, TX to pick Wyatt up. It is so cool how our four legged friends can help us meet new friends. Wyatt is very smart and loving as well as beautiful and very correct to breed standards. He sired a great first litter and we look forward to all the joys he brings us in years to come.

"Mattie"
Roth's Mattie Silks, NSDR
Blue Merle Miniature Australian Shepherd
In the past year we added Mattie to our family. She is a really fun dog to have around. Ali was not wanting to replace Annie anytime soon as she was a close friend and beloved dog. One of Ali's friends, knowing about Annie's loss, called and said she had a new litter of miniature Aussies and did Ali want to come see them. Of course she did and naturally she fell in love with one of the pups. We brought her home at six weeks and are so happy to have her in our family. She has cornered the market on cute and has really won our hearts as well. She has all the characteristics that make Aussies great like her fun temperament and loving personality. She is smart and happy, her little tail goes about a hundred miles an hour. We are not going to have any puppies any time soon but if you are looking for one, contact us and we can tell you about some of our friends who might have great puppies available.

"Annie"
AMR Annie Oakley, CKC
Red Merle Australian Shepherd
Annie was Ali's best buddy. When we were looking at her litter Annie picked Ali to be her human. Ali was holding her and Annie put a paw on each shoulder and snuggled her face in on Ali's neck. She cuddled her way into Ali's jacket and heart and we took her home. What a joy Annie was. She was so much smarter than most dogs and had a look that made you think she was a person, not a dog. We waited a long time to breed her. Her puppies are exceptional. Tragically we lost Annie on 4/14/08 so we will not have any more puppies from her. She was just an awesome dog and will be sorely missed. We are grieving now and not in a hurry to replace her. Someday we will get another female Aussie and have more puppies to offer when she is old enough to breed.
Here are the puppies from Annie and Wyatt's first litter born 6/28/07.

Red, was the first puppy from our litter to go to his new home. He is now with his new family in Ainsworth, NE. They were really quick to call me after they got him home to tell me how smart he was and how quickly he was catching on in training.

Sweet Thing was the second puppy from our litter to go home. She now belongs to a really nice man in Omaha, NE. He sent me an email not long after getting her and told me that she is really a great pleasure.

Kido was next to go to his new home. He will get to be on a working ranch and do his job for his new owner near Ainsworth in Johnstown, NE. The last update was that he really wants to work cattle and his new owner is really glad to have him as a helper and companion. He gets to ride everywhere and is really happy.

Hoss was next to go and traveled the farthest. He was also the largest puppy in our litter. He went to a great home after a plane ride to Saint Paul, IN. His new owner told me that as soon as she got him home he claimed her recliner as his and has agreed to share it with her occasionally!

Buddy was the last of our litter to go to his new home. He now lives in Thedford, NE. His new owner has a wild story to tell. When they just had him for a short time, he jumped off the back of the four wheeler when they were going through the pastures checking on cattle. They looked for him for a long time and did not find him. Two weeks later when they were checking windmills he trotted up to them, none the worse for wear. Even as a small pup he was smart enough to survive and find food and water, out in the Sandhills. They love him and said that he is really starting to want to work cattle for them. And of course they pay really close attention to make sure he stays on the back of the four wheeler!
I look forward to hearing all the fun stories of these great dogs with their new owners. If you want to get the chance to have one like these in your home or on your ranch watch this page for upcoming litter information.
We did not want to leave Molly out. She was Ali's old Golden Retriever, her AKC registered name is Golden Molasses Bear. She was fixed and never had puppies but she was our good old pal and loved to go with us anytime we took the truck. She was a great watchdog and talked to anyone that came to visit. Her favorite pastime in later years was laying in a warm spot waiting for the next meal time to come. On 3/29/08 we had to put her down as she had advanced cancer and was having siezures. For 15 years she was a great friend and is really missed.
Praise God for the good friends and great dogs that happen into your life. They are treasures. We thank the Lord for blessing us with both Molly and Annie. Molly had a great and long life and her passing was sad but it was time. Annie was awesome and she went too soon. Both these dogs were friends and family and can never be replaced. We mourn their loss and rejoice in the joy they brought us.
