Scoot

Scoot

2010 AQHA red roan gelding, AMR Cash Out and Scoot.

Scoot is a great colt representing part of what will be the future of our breeding program. We crossed a really nice mare that we have out of our stud Bear, her name is Goose, with a stud that our friend owns named Perkin Bugs. He is an own son of Dash for Perks. We are super excited about this colt. He shows how well Bear’s foals do as producers and how nicely they cross with speed horses to get what everyone that uses a horse for a purpose, wants. He is good looking, has great color, is as athletic as you could want and has a great mind. He started out easily and is a joy to be around. We can see him as a real money earner in the roping or timed event arenas. We liked him so much that we bred his mother back to his sire for another one just like him. This horse has the perfect blend of speed and cow bloodlines with champions both top and bottom. He is sane but can really fly like the wind. He has galloped on a racetrack and has a lot of gas in the tank. He has race, cutting, performance, ranch and show champions in his pedigree. There are many great proven producers that have led up to this fine gelding. We probably should have left him a stud but we knew he would be an awfully nice gelding.

He has spent a year with a professional trainer. He is started on the barrel pattern lightly and is ready to be finished as you wish. He also has been roping and is doing well in that direction too. He is about 14.3 or 15 right now with some time to grow still. He has a lot of heart, plenty of bone and is built to work all day and play whenever you want to. He is athletic and quick footed. He has a very willing and friendly disposition and a good mind. He is very trainable and the right kind of team mate you are looking for if you want to be really competitive. He is easy for the farrier, stands tied, opens gates, bathes, sprays, loads, he is very quiet on the ground and has no faults or bad habits.

He has been used to day work and doctor cattle in the pasture and held onto a 2400lb bull like he has done it a thousand times before. He was borrowed to do a breakaway roping and in his first rodeo he placed sixth. He has been doing a little team roping and is taking to it very nicely. He has been ridden outside a lot and even before all those miles was never spooky.
