1996 AQHA and NFQR palomino mare, April Poco Bob.
April is double registered both in the AQHA and also in the Foundation Quarter Horse Registry. There just aren’t many horses around with Poco Bueno on their papers. We fell in love with her just as soon as we saw her and the deal was clinched when we saw her babies. We think you could breed her to anything and get an awesome foal. Every one of her offspring is just as pretty as a picture and has all the athletic ability you could ever ask for. She is a great mare to handle, forgiving, patient, very willing and very smart. Before we owned her Mike had the opportunity to train one of her colts as a rope horse and he was very nice indeed. We were delighted when her owner agreed to sell her to us. We have had several nice babies out of her and due to a change in stallions and her fillies that we are keeping as broodmares, we would sell her to a nice home. She is a great producer and really easy to look at so she should fit most programs easily. She still makes a ton of milk and holds her weight in winter without special treatment. If we do not have her sold we plan to breed her to Reno in May of 2015 for a 2016 foal.
