Knowing Jesus

This is the hardest page for me to write.  I think it is so important and I just don’t know how to express all I feel in such a small space.

Mike and Ali both came to know Jesus as teenagers.  While being Christian does not stop us from going through hard things it has sure helped us survive all the ups and downs that life brings. We know that without God in our lives we would be much different people and would still be struggling to understand our purpose in life.  Our hope is that each person we come in contact with for whatever reason knows the hope, joy, peace and mercy that comes with knowing Jesus as your personal Savior and friend. We are no where near perfect but we are forgiven and that is an amazing blessing that only comes from knowing Jesus.

If you do not already have a personal relationship with the Lord we encourage you to get to know Him.  Feel free to contact us if you need help with that or have questions.  We also encourage you to find a bible and start reading it.  Ali suggests you start in the New Testament and move back to the Old Testament next. We also encourage you to find a bible based church where you can learn, fellowship and grow as a Christian. All it takes to become a Christian is to believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for our sins, rose from the dead three days later and is seated at the right hand of God in heaven. Jesus is alive and wants you to know Him personally no matter who you are or what you have or have not done. No person is more or less important in God’s eyes.  We are his beloved children. He created us with a God-shaped hole in our hearts that only He can fill. You were created to love and be loved.  If you are feeling unfufilled in any way, look there first, get right with your relationship to God and you will find that all the other relationships will seem to work themselves out much better.

You can accept Christ into your life at anytime, anywhere.  It does not matter what words you say just that you have a repentant heart and that you sincerely believe that you want Jesus in your life.  Here is an example of the sinner’s prayer.  Say it however you want to but please let God in your life as soon as possible, He loves you and does not want you to waste another minute away from His love.

“Jesus, I know that I am a sinner.  I know that you died for my sins even though you never sinned. I believe you rose from the dead and are alive today. Because you died for me I can be forgiven and I ask you to forgive me now.  Thank you for loving me when I did not know You. Please help me to get to know You better. Amen.”

Like I said before the exact words are not important what is important is that you believe that Jesus is your personal Savior. Once you make the decision to believe I strongly encourage you to find a church of bible-based believers to help you learn more.  Please remember that church is for everyone, sinners and hypocrites included so don’t let people get in the way of your relationship with God.  All people will fail at some point and will probably let you down but God never fails.

Neither Mike or Ali are perfect or have all the answers, but they are more than willing to share what they know about God’s love with you.  If you have questions or need to know more about Jesus and we can help you please contact us.
