2008 AQHA red dun roan gelding, AMR Rojo Bee Bueno.
Squid is a premier colt out of our great stud Bear and the first breeding of our mare Bee. Ali named him Squid because the first time she saw him he was laying on the ground in the sun like a squid washed up on the beach and he was about the same color. The name stuck and we are in love with this flashy gelding. This is a really shapey gelding that is a wonderful athlete. He will be an outstanding horse, built and bred to perform, with conformation, disposition and color to boot. He can really get up and go when it is time to move. If I could wave my magic wand he would go to someone who was going to make him a calf or team roping horse. He has really quick feet and a lot of heart. He can go all day. He would also do really well on a working ranch. He needs to go to someone that knows how to ride an athletic horse that can move out from under you, we aren’t sure he will ever be a beginner’s horse because he is so quick footed. He has absolutely no meanness or buck in him, he is just too quick for a beginner. He has a dominant personality in the pasture. He ought to be a rodeo horse deluxe. He is intelligent and athletic and ready to be finished the way you want him. He will be worth a lot of money for someone when he is finished. He works great now in the feed yard. He is cowy and athletic. Use him all day for work and on the weekends for fun. He really likes to work.
Update: Squid sold at our 2017 Production sale to a working ranch in Kansas. We love it when our horses go where they will be used.
